Approximately 15 graduate students and early postdoctoral fellows will be selected through a competitive process organized by the UCAR Cooperative Programs for the Advancement of Earth System Science. The Eddy Symposium lasts for five days, and each participant receives full travel support for registration fees, airline tickets, lodging and per diem costs.

Successful candidates are:

  • Currently enrolled as a graduate student or a first or second year Postdoctoral Fellow in any phase of training.
  • Majoring in physics with an emphasis on astrophysics, geophysics, plasma physics, and space physics, or experienced in at least one of these areas.
  • Pursuing a career in heliophysics or astrophysics.

  2. Letter of support from your advisor.
