UCAR/NCAR has two great tools for you to use: The NSF NCAR | UCAR | UCP Impacts Database, and the NSF NCAR Library’s OpenSky repository for publications. You get easy access to an ongoing record of your accomplishments and professional achievements, and their use helps CPAESS report effectively to UCAR and to all our federal sponsors and university partners. Using them on a quarterly basis, while you are employed by UCAR, is a great way to keep all your info up-to-date. 

NSF NCAR | UCAR | UCP Impacts Database

After login, enter your metrics if you have:

• Publications
• Editorships
• Committee and other professional service activities
• Conference presentations and posters
• Mentoring (internal and external)
• Teaching at outside institutions
• Received an external award or honor
• Contributed to K-12 activities
• Gone on a collaborative staff leave greater than 2 weeks
   

NSF NCAR | UCAR OpenSky

OpenSky is an open access repository for publications. Why the emphasis? Because it clarifies that it is an archive of all UCAR/NCAR publication output -- not merely a citation library or database.

It requests entry, if available, of a DOI (digital object identifier) and upload of the author's final version of a journal article. Use of both is most effective.
