A wealth of knowledge

Since 2007, respected leaders in an array of subdisciplines have produced presentations, interactive labs, and problem sets for each year’s Summer School students. Universities may find them useful in developing or supplementing heliophysics course content. All Summer School  materials are available below for free.

Students seeking excellent foundational textbooks can try The Sun, the Earth, and Near-Earth Space by Jack Eddy, a gentle overview of the processes connecting the Earth to the Sun; Principles of Heliophysics by Karel Schrijver et al., a broad survey emphasizing the universal processes behind planetary habitability; and the landmark textbook series Heliophysics (I-V) by Schrijver, Siscoe, Bagenal, and Sojka, eds., derived from detailed multidisciplinary material presented in past Summer Schools.

See sidebar at right for other useful Heliophysics resources.
