CAC-WP Meetings 2018

December 13, 2018 - At AGU 

CPAESS took the opportunity of the AGU to hold a meeting for CAC-WP (Community Advisory Committee for Water Prediction) on the morning of 13th December. David Maidment and Don Cline, Co-Chairs of CAC-WP, reviewed the recommendations of CAC-WP meeting held in January 2018. Tom Graziano, Director of NOAA Office of Water Prediction,  and Ed Clark, Director of the National Water Center presented the current status and future plans for the National Water Model. Many new capabilities have been developed in response to the recommendations from CAC-WP. Tony Busalacchi, President of UCAR complimented the effort of NOAA Office of Water Prediction in engaging the broader community and the significant progress of the National Water Model over the past year. Tom Graziano proposed to hold CAC-WP meetings at roughly 18 month intervals. The next meeting is likely to take place in either late Spring or early Fall of 2019 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
