Observations of the Wide Field Imager on board the Parker Solar Probe spacecraft have revealed unprecedented fine structures of CMEs near the Sun and a mixture of slow and fast solar wind flows of different spatial scales, leading to a highly turbulent large-scale structure of the inner heliosphere. This presentation reviews our current knowledge of the evolution and interaction of CMEs/ICMEs with and without interplanetary shocks in the inner heliosphere and what we can infer globally and locally from remote sensing and in-situ observations in anticipation of the PUNCH observations.
