Meeting attendees are welcome to submit abstracts using the following google form. Titles (150 characters max) and abstracts (2000 characters max) for presentations will be submitted to the meeting steering committee for review to ensure good discipline coverage across the entire symposium program. Notifications will be made no later than December 16. 

ORAL SESSION 

Invited Regional Oral Sessions: There will be a total of seven regional sessions during the meeting that will showcase environmental monitoring, biological sensitivity and human dimensions research results. Session chairs will organize an oral session to invite a total of three to five 15-minute science talks (12 minutes oral, 3 minutes of science questions) to provide detailed results and discussion of an OAP-funded or OA-related research projects. Suggested speakers from FY18-19 OAP funded FFOs may be provided to the regional session chair by the OA Program to include for consideration in the oral or poster session.    

POSTER SESSION 

Poster Session: Researchers that are not participating in an oral session may submit to present in one of two poster sessions that will be hosted during the morning of Days 1 and 2 of the meeting. A total of 40 posters (20 per day) will be accepted. Posters will be hung in the morning and remain hanging during the length of the day to provide opportunities for discussion during coffee breaks, before and after the meeting. Poster abstract submissions will be reviewed and selected by the OAP staff and steering committee to ensure good coverage across regions and disciplines in the event that more than 40 abstract submissions are received. 

LIGHTNING TALKS

Lightning Talks: Researchers will be welcomed to submit an abstract to give a 3-minute lightning talk during the poster sessions during Days 1 and 2 of the meeting. Lightning talk speakers will also be invited to present a poster. A total of 10 lightning talks will be selected. Prior to the meeting, selected speakers will be invited to attend a lightning talk information session in order to format their presentations with the OAP communications lead.
