The purpose of this workshop is to examine the types of radars supporting the atmospheric sciences community today, review emerging technologies, and identify near and mid-term priorities for radar support of atmospheric sciences research.

REGISTRATION FEE 
There is a $5.00 Registration Fee that is necessary to help defray the cost of the Poster Session/Reception food. At this time UCAR accepts both Visa and MasterCard only.

The FY13 GSA CONUS M&IE rate for Boulder is $61.00.

LUNCH
Lunch will be provided on Tuesday and Wednesday, 27-28 November. Please send any dietary restrictions to Brian Jackson.

MAKING A FEDERAL PAYMENT
Under the terms of its cooperative agreement with NOAA, UCAR-JOSS is prohibited from providing meals to federal participants and to those on federal travel orders. Federal attendees and those on federal travel orders are requested to contribute $30.00 towards their lunch. This amount represents two "Lunch" portions of the GSA CONUS M&IE rate for Boulder.

Federal attendees and those on federal travel ordersare requested to go online and pay. You may then claim full per diem for Boulder on your travel voucher.

At this time UCAR accepts both Visa and MasterCard only.

To make your payment:

  2. Under "Payment Select", click on "Other Items" and then from the drop-down menu, scroll down to "NSF Radar Workshop - 27-29 Nov. 2012 - Reg./Meal Fee," and then click on the "Next" button.
  3. On the following screen, enter the amount* ("30" for $30.00) and fill in your billing information.
  4. When you are ready, click on the "Start Process" button.
  5. You will receive an e-mail confirming your payment.

    *Federal attendees and those on federal travel orders may add the $5.00 Registration Fee to the $30.00 Meal Fee when registering. Please see REGISTRATION FEE above.

POSTER SESSION 
There will be a formal poster session and reception on Tuesday evening, 28 November, 4:30-6:30 p.m. Posters may be up to 4 feet in length and up to 6 feet tall. Click herefor a photo of a poster board. Posters may be left up for the duration of the Workshop.

Most attendees will fly in and out of Denver International Airport (DEN). DIA is a hub for most major carriers, and is also served by discount airlines JetBlue, Frontier and Southwest.

TRANSPORTATION BETWEEN AIRPORT AND HOTEL

DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO THE MILLENNIUM HOTEL FROM DIA

TRANSPORTATION FROM THE HOTEL TO THE MEETING VENUE
Bus tranportation to the UCAR campus from the Millennium Hotel will be provided. Please see the AGENDA above for pick-up times at each location. The bus will have a sign in the window, indicating "NSF Radar."

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
UCAR will provide travel support to non-federal, invited speakers and guests.

Federal attendees (those who are paid directly by the U.S. Treasury) and those on federal travel orders should work with their sponsoring office to make travel arrangements according to the procedures in place at that office.
