Description

Paleoclimate data assimilation is emerging as a novel tool to understand low-frequency climate dynamics, blending multi-proxy paleoclimate observations with numirical simulations of Earth's climate.  The Last Millennium Reanalysis project will convene its third workshop on October 2-3, 2017 at the NCAR Mesa Laboratory.

The meeting will be followed by a 1-day hackathon (October 4) to empower a new generation of paleoclimate scientists with data assimilation tools.  Climate scientists are invited (including, but not limited to, paleoclimatologists) to participate in this workshop.
