2024 Community of Practice Convening Island Solutions for a Resilient Future

Meeting Objective

Building on the momentum of the inaugural in-person gathering in Hawai'i in April, the  Local2030 Islands Network will again convene on April 23-25, 2024 in Honolulu, Hawai‘i its global Communities of Practice on Data for Climate Resilience and Sustainable & Regenerative Tourism. These global communities bring together technical experts, cultural stewards, academics, policy makers, academics and researchers, and political leaders working in and across islands to advance the local and culturally-informed implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and bolster climate resilience through the sharing of island solutions. 
 

With the theme of “Island Solutions for a Resilient Future”, this convening will serve as a space to foster collaboration, share good practices and lessons learned, receive technical training, spark innovation, and exchange knowledge and unique island experiences in a dynamic peer-to-peer forum.
