Biden Appointment

Congratulations NOAA Climate and Global Change Alumnus!

Congrats to our NOAA Climate and Global Change alumnus Gavin Schmidt for his appointment to the Biden Administration as the Senior Climate Advisor until a permanent appointment can be made. Gavin is currently the director of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS). Gavin was in our sixth NOAA Climate and Global Change class from 1996 - 1998. We are in the midst of choosing our 31st class now. The intent of the NOAA Climate & Global Change fellowship is to grow the future leaders for global climate science. We cannot think of a better example. Congratulations Gavin!
