An introduction to NOAA’s Quantitative Observing System Assessment Program (QOSAP). This presentation will provide an overview of NOAA’s Quantitative Observing System Assessment Program (QOSAP).  In this presentation, Ben shows the impact of COSMIC-2 radio occultation bending angle observations on tropical cyclone track and intensity forecasts in the HWRF model with a focus on the record-breaking 2020 Atlantic hurricane season. Mike will present his work with WindBorne Systems, a company that designs, builds, and operates long-duration smart balloons that measure temperature, humidity, and wind profiles.
