My lab uses heat budget models (with data derived from remote sensing and ground-based measurements of weather, along with outputs from GCMs) to predict levels of physiological stress in organisms. We then use these data to quantitatively forecast patterns of abundance, reproduction, and species distributions in coastal marine organisms. We are currently funded by NASA Ecological Forecasting and NOAA Ecofore.
