Description of scientific projects
Our research focus on understanding issues related stratospheric ozone depletion and climate change. Research activities involve a combination of theoretical studies, numerical modeling, and analysis of observational data. The numerical models used range from idealized single-layer models to realistic global chemistry-climate coupling models, while the data used included both meteorological analyses and measurements of trace constituents. Current areas of interest include understanding the impact of ozone recovery on surface climate, upper tropospheric water vapor, and the oceanic uptake of carbon.
