Numerous paleoclimate modeling projects, particularly but not limited to, the Quaternary and Pliocene. We use the NCAR Community Climate System Model (CCSM) to understand the forcings and feedbacks in the climate system, physical and biogeochemical, for past warm and cold climate regimes and the transitions between them. Current projects include the Last Interglaciation, the Last Glacial Maximum, the Holocene, and abrupt climate changes during the glacial-interglacial transition and during the current interglacial.
