Description of scientific projects
My overall science theme covers the roles of moist convection in large-scale dynamics and climate. Tools include observations, theory, and simple and full-physics models, both of clouds and of the large-scale flow. Measures of convective effects include heat and moisture budgets, 'cumulus friction', precipitation and cloud, and nonlocal measures such as total circulation. Current as of 1/23/18.
