Broadly, we use a genes-to-ecosystems approach to understand community and ecosystem responses and feedbacks to altered climate. We currently focus on expected increases in drought using a combination of large-scale experimental rainfall manipulations and field studies along rainfall gradients. We work across a wide variety of ecosystems, including grasslands, shrublands, and tropical forests.
