Dr David R Easterling

My research concentrates on regional and global climatic variability on multi-decadal to century time scales. Analysis focuses on in situ observations of surface temperature and precipitation, with an emphasis on data quality and continuity issues. Current projects include quality control and analysis of annual, monthly and daily observations of temperature and precipitation, particularly in the context of variability and change in extreme climate events.
