Dr Jay Famiglietti

My interests are in characterizing and modeling spatial-temporal variations in the terrestrial hydrological cycle, and in understanding how these variations drive and are driven by short-term variations in modern climate. I combine model development and validation studies with field experimentation and remote sensing to address a range of issues concerning the role of the water cycle in the coupled earth system.
