Processes in the atmosphere (e.g. clouds, radiation, boundary layer) and sea ice are of particular interest. The human dimensions of climate change in the arctic is a growing focus. In particular, we are presently looking at impacts on coastal villages on the North Slope of Alaska, including coastal erosion, permafrost thawing, changes in coastal sea ice and oceans including fish and marine mammals, and the impact of these changes on local infrastructure and subsistence.
