Our group is funded by NSF (Ecology, Ecosystems and LTREB panels) to study the impacts of: 1). Climate change on rapid ecotonal shifts and plant genetics. 2). Environmental stress on community structure and ecosystem- level processes. 3). Climate change and environmental stress on pest outbreaks and their impacts on biodiversity. 4). Climate change and environmental stress on crucial plant mutualisms such as mycorrhizal relationships with higher plants. 5). climate change and insect outbreaks on the dendrochronological record.
