Three themes underlie the research program of Professor Yuk Yung and his colleagues: What are the processes controlling the current chemical state of the earth's atmosphere? What is the proper description of chemistry and radiative transfer in the atmosphere in the current epoch? What are the processes that have governed the evolution of atmospheres in the solar system to what exist at the present time? These various studies require a close interaction between theory, modeling, laboratory spectroscopic and kinetic studies, and observations. For details please consult my website and my books.
