Description of scientific projects
I study the responses of plant communities and ecosystems to global environmental changes, such as nitrogen deposition, elevated CO2, shifting precipitation, and invasive species. A particular goal of future research will be to understand non-linear responses to shifts in precipitation and nitrogen deposition, both for plant communities and ecosystem nitrogen cycling.
