Hyodae Seo

My research interest is understanding how weather patterns are influenced by their interactions with oceans and how this relates to Earth system predictability across scales. I employ numerical modeling and observational analyses to examine turbulent momentum and heat exchanges across the atmospheric and oceanic boundary layers mediated by surface waves. I am also interested in offshore wind energy research, aiming to evaluate the potential impacts of ocean and air-sea interaction on wind resource forecasting and oceanographic impacts.
