My main interests is in the predictabilty and prediction of short term climate variations (seasonal to decadal). To understand the dynamics of coupled phenomena and the prediction of climate variations, comparison with analyzed fields and the incorporation of these fields into climate system modules requires some utilization of data-assimilation methods. Similarly, Climate prediction being a partially statistical problem, one is required to encororate stochastic-dynamic methods to attain and ascertain utilty.
