Description of scientific projects
I'm particularly interested in research to understand how coastal marine species are affected by changing climates. Past research has focused on changes in species distribution, larval dispersal, and local adaptation using long-term ecological data, statistical and ecological modeling, and population genetics. Other interests include quantifying the impacts of climate change and variability on ecological communities across North American continental shelves, and understanding how these factors alter the emergent properties of communities and food webs.
