Description of scientific projects
Most of my research is focussed on the understanding of the ocean role in climate dynamics. I use a suite of methods ranging from the statistical analysis of historical data, results from process experiments in the ocean and designated ocean model experiments. Lamont hosts a strong group of climate researches who work collaboratively on many different aspects of climate research ranging from ENSO to ice age climates. We have also a more recent interest in the human and economic dimension of climate with joint projects with the economics, health and social sciences departments of Columbia University.
