Morgan Reed Raven

My group studies organic carbon cycling in O2-limited environments, specializing on the interactions between the carbon and sulfur cycles and especially the formation of organic sulfur. In addition to experimental projects, we work in systems ranging from marine O2-deficient zones and salt marshes to billion-year-old shales. Analytically, we use mass spectrometry (especially S isotopes), spectroscopic, and electrochemical techniques.
