We are involved in a number of projects spanning applied to basic research. Current projects include studying the meteorology associated with lightning outbreaks in the western US in observations and climate models, characterizing atmospheric rivers over the eastern US, assessing future climate change over South America, and working with local water managers to provide climate change information to help them build resilience to change.
