Fields of interest
Global carbon cycle, climate change, the Anthropocene, atmospheric gas measurements, gas metrology, new sampling systems, isotopic ratios, air-sea exchange, atmospheric transport and inverse modeling.
Description of scientific projects
We make very accurate measurements of the main greenhouse gases (GHG) CO2, CH4, N2O in the atmosphere, as well as many other GHGs, creating an authoritative record of their influence of climate. Observed spatial and temporal patterns provide information on how the global carbon cycle responds to anthropogenic emissions and to climate change itself, using time series analysis and inverse modeling systems.
