My group works to understand the fundamental processes at work in the climate system- seeking to isolate the key elements that allow such processes to be represented in numerical models. Processes of interest include lateral mixing, ocean color, and ocean-ice interactions. Areas of interest include climate variability (Arctic, Antarctic and tropics), and ecological/biogeochemical variability.
