Fields of interest
Research interests include hydrogeology, coastal flooding and drainage systems, and climate change adaptation, with a focus on groundwater–surface water interactions and infrastructure performance in low-lying coastal environments using modeling, geospatial analysis, and field monitoring.
Description of scientific projects
Scientific projects focus on investigating groundwater dynamics, coastal flooding, and stormwater drainage performance in low-lying urban environments under current and future sea level rise conditions. Research integrates field monitoring, data analysis, and numerical modeling to evaluate how interactions among tides, rainfall, and shallow groundwater influence infrastructure function and flood risk. Projects are conducted in partnership with local agencies and communities to support climate adaptation and resilience planning.
