Paleolimnology; Paleoclimatology of Arctic and Boreal regions; Paleoflood (both river and coastal) reconstructions; Climate change impacts on erosion and water quality
Description of scientific projects
I primarily study sedimentary archives from lakes and ponds to reconstruct past climate and environmental conditions. I am especially interested in hydroclimatic control of sedimentary processes and using sedimentary archives to reconstruct long-term changes in climate, hydrology, flood magnitude/frequency, and the impacts of these changes on the landscape.
