Fields of interest
William Collins is an internationally recognized expert in climate modeling and climate change science. His personal research concerns the interactions among greenhouse gases and aerosols, the coupled climate system, and global environmental change.
Description of scientific projects
Use of rigorously calibrated long-term satellite spectroscopy to detect and quantify the radiative forcing of the climate system by anthropogenic increases in well-mixed greenhouse gases as well as the magnitude and growth of the water-vapor feedback.
