Younas studies space weather, specifically, solar storms that are precipitated by coronal mass ejections or high speed solar wind events.

Makoto Kelp considers this study a first step in assessing the protective effects of prescribed burns across different states and different ecosystems. 

Yang Zhang’s research seeks to improve understanding of plasma dynamics as well as the mechanisms at play behind solar flare generation through investigations conducted in a laboratory.
